Entry Requirements

Academic and language requirements for admission to OXOU

Bachelor's Programs

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong background in mathematics and science
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 or equivalent (70%+)
  • English proficiency: IELTS 6.0+ or TOEFL 75+
  • Statement of purpose (500–750 words)
  • Academic transcripts and certificates

Master's Programs

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 or equivalent
  • English proficiency: IELTS 6.5+ or TOEFL 85+
  • Statement of purpose (750–1000 words)
  • Two academic letters of recommendation
  • CV/Resume highlighting relevant experience

Rolling Admissions: Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis for select programs. Apply early for best consideration and to maximize scholarship opportunities. Admission decisions are typically sent within 4 weeks of completing your application.

Estimated Living Costs

Approximately $300 – $400 per month including accommodation, meals, transportation, and personal expenses. Kyrgyzstan offers one of the most affordable living costs in the region.

Presidential Excellence Scholarship

For exceptional students with outstanding academic records and demonstrated leadership. Requires portfolio or research proposal.

100% Tuition

Merit Scholarship

Awarded based on academic excellence. Minimum GPA of 3.5/4.0 or equivalent required.

25%–50% Tuition

Global Diversity Scholarship

For students who have won international competitions, olympiads, hackathons, or science fairs.

$2,000 Award

Need-Based Financial Aid

Financial assistance based on demonstrated need. Can be combined with merit-based scholarships.
